Pre-School Age
If your child is born on or between 2 July 2020 and 1 July 2021 they will be in their final pre-school year (Target Age) for the school year September 2024 to June 2025. You can apply for a funded pre-school place in a Nursery School or Nursery Unit in a Primary School or a Voluntary/Private Playgroup participating in the Pre-School Education Programme.
School Age
Children who are 4 years old on or before the 1st of July must begin their primary education from the beginning of the school year following their 4th birthday.
Children born between 2 July 2019 and 1 July 2020 will be due to start Primary One in September 2024 as they will be of compulsory school age and Parents/Guardians must apply for a place in a primary school.
Admissions
